The fall meeting was RISP's first in-person meeting since the pandemic. The speaker was Dr. Sandra Shin, MD, MBA, Professor and Chair of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Albany Medical Center. The title of the talk was "Breast core needle biopsies: making the most (diagnosis) with less (material)".

Our summer meeting was held via Zoom online. The speaker was Dr. Valerie A. Fitzhugh, MD, associate professor of pathology, immunology, and laboratory medicine at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and associate professor of pathology and laboratory medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She is the interim chair of the department of pathology, immunology, and laboratory medicine at Rutgers, the Interim Chair at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, and the chair and medical director of pathology and laboratory medicine at the Clara Maass Medical Center. The title of the talk was “Pathology, Diversity, and the Pipeline Problem”.
